Abstract
In the 21st century, traditional sciences do not present themselves as watertight elements, but related or imbricated among themselves. The term STEM, a shortened form for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, arises naturally as much in the education as in the research and professional world. These areas have been forbidden to women or their participation has not been as visible as it should be. This paper presents an approach to the history of women’s presence in science and the current state of the science-gender relationship, for which a bibliographical review and an analysis of the state of the art has been done, in order to rise a dialogue space so that inclusion policies are effective not only at a general level but particularity in the science and technology areas..
