No. 6 (2025): UDA LAW REVIEW VOLUME VI - PART II

UDA Law Review Volume 6, Number 2 presents a new edition dedicated to the in-depth and critical analysis of the legal challenges currently facing Ecuador and the region. This issue continues the Journal's core mission: to promote rigorous research, encourage the revision of traditional paradigms, and foster the development of new interpretations of the law that respond to the complexities of the present.

The topics addressed in this edition reflect the diversity and dynamism of the contemporary legal ecosystem. Relevant transformations in the asset and financial management of the public sector are examined, as well as debates related to environmental standards and the need to rethink the limits of consumption in terms of sustainability. This issue also analyzes emerging tensions in the criminal justice system, particularly those stemming from the use of advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence, which demand more precise and coherent regulatory responses. In addition, it explores discussions on the role of public administration, the protection of state resources, citizen participation, and how these dynamics impact institutional legitimacy and the effective exercise of rights.

As a peer-reviewed, open-access journal, this Issue 2 of Volume VI reaffirms UDA Law Review's commitment to accessible, transparent, and high-quality academic production. Each edition seeks to strengthen legal debate and provide useful analytical tools for the academic community, legal professionals, and institutional actors.

With this publication, the Journal actively contributes to the evolution of the Ecuadorian legal framework, encouraging the formulation of technical, critical, and innovative solutions that support the country's processes of social and regulatory change. Published: November 19, 2025
